New Covenant has started using Single-Stream recycling as part of its efforts of going green! It refers to a system where everything can be recycled in the same container, except styrofoam, shredded paper and garbage. Instead of being sorted by the depositor, Logos will be on all of the recycling containers throughout the church. In our continuing efforts to be good stewards of God’s creation, at a special congregational meeting on Sunday, February 26, 2017, members passed the Creation Justice Covenant. In caring for God’s creation, our common home, we, members of New Covenant United Church of Christ, covenant to continue to improve our efforts to maintain and sustain our presence in this neighborhood and community by and through advocacy actions, reduced energy use and collective stewardship to protect the environment in sharing our earthly and spiritual resources.
